psalm 137:5-6

"If I forget you, O Jerusalem,
may my right hand forget its skill.
may my tounge cling to the roof of my mouth
if I do not remember you,
if i do not consider Jerusalem
my highest joy"

-Psalm 137:5-6

This prayer was from Israels exiles who were held captive in the inldulgent world of Babylon. I think its a really cool verse because it applies to me so much today. Im trying so hard not to get caught up in materialistic things, where over-indulging seems to be the norm. Im bothered by the fact that we constantly lather ourselves with useless things that dont last. we, as christians, need to come to the realization that our citizenship is in heaven, and not on this earth. i hope that i never forget who i belong to, and why im here.

thats all.
